I love to write late at night. The family is all asleep. There is a log in the fireplace. I have a blanket on, the cat next to me, and a cup of coffee beside me. It is a cozy feeling. I can get lost in my thoughts, and more importantly I can get lost in the characters. Emerge myself into their lives, actions, feelings, etc. Some of my best scenes (I feel) are when I can “become” that character and bring their story to life. Make it real. Give the character a voice. I like to think readers enjoy those scenes as well.

A. G. Ballard was educated at University of Phoenix where she graduated with an MBA. She now resides in the Pacific Northwest, with her chosen family and youngest child. She loves to write and finds it to be both therapeutic and empowering. Aria has first-hand experience with trauma, trauma related issues, and the mental health world. She uses parts of her own struggles as a premise and inspiration for her books, hoping to reach others struggling to live between two worlds. After years of putting off her true passion, Aria has taken the time to finally write. Finding Safety, the first book in The Secrets We Keep series, is her first published book. In her spare time, she can be found raising her youngest son, watching football, and binging on Netflix shows. She can also be found reading mystery novels and enjoying all things Disney related.
